Chicken and Rice

On our trip to St. James, we picked up a cookbook at St. James Winery. I tried this recipe and thought I'd share it with you. If you are interested in their recipe book, please contact them at info@stjameswinery.com  or call 1 800 280 9463. Please tell them you heard about their cookbook on MAO.

1 1/3 cup rice 
1 Lb. chicken 
1 (10 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup 
1 10 oz. ) can cream of celery soup 
1 cup milk cup St. James Winery Country White Wine 
1 envelope dry onion soup mix

Mix above ingredients and heat through. Pour into a greased 9X13 baking dish. Take pieces of chicken and lay them over rice mixture. Take 1 envelope dry onion soup mix and sprinkle over chicken. Seal with foil and bake at 325 for 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until chicken is tender. Do not add salt. 

I love cooking with wine.....sometimes I even add it to the recipe!
